New Multi site Infrastructure with Site to Site VoIP

Centura Foods are a major food manufacturer in the UK. Having such family favourites as Bisto, Paxo, Sharwoods and Robinsons as their leading brands. Having sales, distribution and manufacturing in the UK they needed to have the right solution in place to manage their voice needs across the whole of the UK estate.

Having made a number of company acquisitions leading to a mish mash of legacy equipment, an urgent review of their needs was required. IDS where contacted from a client referral and where awarded the task to provide an external voice communications review. This review encompassed visiting all sites thorough out the UK reviewing local equipment connectivity and their needs, compiling and presenting the findings to the Financial Director. T

his report was well received and shortly after IDS was asked to look at implementation of this review and provide project costs. These were provided and shortly after a company wide contract was awarded for the installation of Mitel equipment with IP connectivity between all sites using VoIP.

The solution was then rolled out to six sites in the UK over a 6 month period. All services where maintained during this time, installations carried out to the satisfaction of each location. IP services were overlaid over the existing data network with excellent results.

This solution is now been considered by the RHM Group plc as a potential solution to total group connectivity due to it’s success and projected savings being met if not exceeded.
